Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Email address — used only to send magic-link sign-in emails and to identify your account.
• Display name and username — shown publicly on any listing you publish.
• Avatar image (optional) — stored in a private bucket and visible only to you.
• Location (optional) — stored privately and not shown on listings.
• Condition Passport photographs — stored privately while a Passport is submitted and reviewed.
• Published listing photographs — when you publish a listing, copies of your standardized photographs become publicly accessible so buyers can view the pair.
• Seller-entered text — condition, flaw, fit and ownership-history notes become public on a published listing.

The contact form

The form on our Contact page collects your name, your email address, the topic you choose, an optional listing or Passport reference, and your message. We use that information only to respond to and manage your request.

A submission is delivered by a Supabase Edge Function through Resend, our email provider, to our info@theresale.com inbox. The message content is not stored in the TheResale application database. Copies exist in that email inbox and in Resend's delivery logs, as with any email you send us.

Where your data is stored

Account records, Passport submissions and photographs are stored with Supabase, which provides the database, authentication and file storage used by TheResale.

What we do not do

• There is no payment processing on TheResale. We do not collect card or bank details.
• There is no advertising and there are no advertising trackers.
• We do not sell personal data.

Deleting your account and data

Email info@theresale.com from the address on your account and ask for deletion. We remove your profile, your Passport submissions and their photographs, and any listings you published, including the public copies of those listing photographs.

Changes

Because TheResale is in private alpha, this policy will change as the product changes. Any revision replaces the text on this page.
